Cousin Time

Over my birthday week Archie, Pepper, and Ren came to Colorado! It was so awesome to see them and hang out! It was fun and so cute to see all the Session cousins together! They all have so much personality- it will be fun to watch them grow and build friendships!

I turned 26! Wahoo! This is my year of 2-sexy (2-6) aka its time to lose the baby chubs and get back into shape! I had a great birthday filled with fun surprises! Wyatt did a great job.

We started the morning with breakfast at Snooze! I got delicious sweet potato pecan pancakes. Wyatt went to class and came home for lunch and brought a little surprise of cupcakes one of his classmates made for me! Then we went out to dinner to Texas Roadhouse. It was very delicious. To top off the night Nonnie and Poppie came over and babysat Beckham and we went to a Nuggets game! It was a fun filled day and I have a feeling this will be a great year!!

Outdoor adventures!

So I absolutely LOVE living in Denver, CO. One of my favorite things about Colorado is the January thaw! Every January there is always a week or two that there is gorgeous weather in the 60's! We definitely take advantage of the sun and bask in it all day! Here are a few pictures of our adventures in Denver and hiking chautauqua in Boulder! We love "sunny Colorado"!

 Another favorite thing about Colorado is the SNOW! We love to snowboard and it has been so much fun hitting the slops on any day that Wyatt has off!

One thing I was worried about with having a kid is not being able to do the fun outdoorsy things that we love to do. Boy was I wrong! Beckham LOVES everything outside. If he is ever grouchy all we do is strap him on the front carrier and go for a walk (rain or shine) and Beckham is happy. We have not hesitated taking Beckham up snowboarding with us or on hikes. It has been so much fun exploring and I cannot wait until he can start skiing and hiking on his own!

Beckham is 6 months!

Our little baby is 6 months old! Time is seriously flying!!! We love Beckham so much. He is the light and joy in our lives and we could not imagine life without him in our family!

Beckham's Stats:

• Beck weighs 15 lbs 5 oz (9th percentile) and is 25 inches long (7th percentile) 
• His head is the 100th percentile (like father like son)
• He is very social and smiles at anyone who talks to him
• He is very vocal and will mimic the sounds that you make to him
• He can army crawl and is beginning to crawl on his hands and knees
• He can sit up nice and straight
• Loves to eat! He eats so much and is really getting the hang of it! 
• His fohawk is still going strong! His hair is starting to get a lot thicker (like when he was born)
• He has dark green eyes with a blue rim
• When he gets excited he puts his hands in his mouth and curls up in a ball
• He has two bottom teeth and is working hard on his top ones!
• He finally sleeps through the night (after doing a sleep intervention for 1 night and taking away the pacifier)!! The past 3 days he has slept from 8:30 pm - 7:00 am!
• He always has "startled eyes" when we go into a new room

Reunited

After almost 2 weeks in Ohio it felt so good to reunite with Wyatt! Beckham sure missed his dad and vice versa! He also loved being back in his crib and all his toys! Wyatt loved seeing all Beckham's new tricks!

Baby Evan

I was blessed to be able to go to Ohio and help out when Marci had baby Evan! It was so much fun and I am amazed at how quickly Marci was able to bounce back. The day she got home from the hospital she made dinner and a cake!! Evan is the cutest thing ever and was born with long brown hair! He is a mini Derek and so amazing to cuddle!

We had a BLAST in Ohio! Although Beckham did not sleep well at night we sure had fun during the day! Haylie and Derek were so cute with Beckham and Beck loved playing with his cousins. He no longer wanted any baby toys but only wanted to play with action figures and cars, since that is what Derek played with. Haylie was the best helper ever! I asked if she could grab me a diaper for Beckham and she came back with a diaper, wipes, baby powder, and a toy for Beck!

In Ohio Beckham turned 6 months, learned how to sit up, army crawl, eat solid foods, drink out of a pouch, and got 2 new teeth! It was a very busy time for Beckham!

While I was there we were able to celebrate both Marci and my birthday's! Ryan spoiled us by having us get our nails done and we went to BJ's! Marci and I have been able to celebrate the last 3 birthday's together although we have not lived near each other! I love being Marci's birthday present ;)

December

We had a wonderful break. We started it off by making a Christmas advent calendar with different activities to do every day. Some things we did was: make christmas cookies for Wyatt's dental class, ice skating, movies, wrap presents, decorate christmas tree (sadly I do not have any pictures), go to the temple, hot chocolate, snowboard, read nativity, gifts of christmas, christmas parties, see Santa, gingerbread houses, making ornaments etc.

It was a very wonderful break except for the fact that I got the stomach flu christmas Eve and Christmas Day and Wyatt got it New Years Eve and New Years Day (bad timing) so we weren't able to do as much snowboarding as we would have liked. But luckily we spent a week in Breckenridge BEFORE Christmas and got our fill in!

Beckham got a new crib for Christmas and it is so funny to see him in different positions every time I go in to get him from his naps! 

We had a wonderful time with the Nobles' family for Christmas. We had Christmas a day early since Andrew and Jen were leaving. Bryce came into town that day so we were able to make our traditional pyramid and get Chinese. On Christmas day everyone went up snowboarding (I stayed home with Nonnie and Beck since I was sick) which was fun since we did not have much family in town. Later in the break Bryce's gf Tambre came so it was fun to meet her and go ice skating and to the movies! We had a great time and are so grateful for the memories we made!

We thoroughly enjoyed Christmas with the Sessions this year. Blake and Hudson came into town so that was fun to see them and catch up. Before Turner's family left for Utah we were able to make gingerbread houses and have dinner! We had a blast making ornaments and the yearly white elephant with the whole family. I was able to get a 4 generation picture of Beckham, Wyatt, Kim and Ray! We had a great time and loved seeing everyone and are so grateful for our wonderful family!
