Well November is here and I am loving it. My internship is now officially over which means NO MORE DRIVING TO SALT LAKE! Yippie. I now have time to actually make dinner and clean the house ;) But before I get into my lovely November go abouts here is a quick recap of the past few months...
First things first, Elise (aka Hermana Fackrell) got married! I was so lucky to be able to go and be there in the temple and have a mini mission reunion... Elise looked GORGEOUS!
Wyatt stepped it up in the baking department (since I was MIA most of the time) and made some delicious and enormous cookies.
End of August, by a miracle, I was able to go to Ohio for baby Hailey! My job was to watch Derek while Marci had Hailey. Derek and I sure had fun (especially with the bubbles).
Love those lips
A week later we went down to west water for a RAFTING TRIP! Turner is a great rafting party planner and we had a fabulous time.
Our boat, Wyatt was our guide. So Lu and I were in the front of the raft huddled together screaming most of the time and the best part about the trip was that on one HUGE rapid we stayed in the boat and Wyatt flew out! haha it was so funny but luckily he was able to jump right back in.
So we came home from the rafting trip with a souvenir (thanks to Kim's generous donation) a grill! We have been grilling almost everyday ever since. And since I was MIA for most dinner making Wyatt stepped up again and made lots and lots of yummy dinners. The following are some of his meals..
I also had a mission reunion, our mission president had a great idea that we do the reunion at the temple so we all went to a temple session and then to president's house for dinner afterwards. It was so fun to see new/old faces (lots of missionaries came home) and be with my hermanas for a day :)
typical..
So the best part of my internship is that I got to go to the Summer Sports Clinic for disabled veterans in San Diego (all expenses paid). Here is the view from our room at the Marriott.
I was a team leader and here was my team... GOOOO TEAM MERCURY.
I got to do so many things that I have never done before... it was just as therapeutic for ME as it was for the participants.
We went sailing, kayaking, SURFING, cycling, row boating, and track and field. It was amazing to see these vets do the impossible. Each vet in a wheel chair was able to successfully surf and participated in every event. It was a life changing experience for me and I am forever grateful for the MIRACLE it was for me to attend.
A week or so later I had to take my CTRS exam... and I PASSED :) I am now Brooke Sessions, CTRS
So I finally had some free time after all that craziness so I decided to make a Harvest Soup....
And as you can see wyatt threw it out DOWN THE TOILET. I guess I was out of practice. It had the consistency of baby food... and the color of something real nasty. no bueno.

haha love the blog!!
